Horehound Candy

1 ounce dried horehound herb
1 3/4 pounds brown sugar
4 tablespoons corn syrup
1 1/2 cup water

Cook horehound and water slowly for 30 minutes. Remove horehound. Add
brown sugar and syrup, and cook to 300°F.
Pour into a well-greased pan. Mark into squares just as the mixture
begins to harden.
